Flossie Imogene Jean Cartee

Flossie Imogene ""Jean"" Cartee, 84, of McArthur, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Twin Maples Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born October 11, 1927 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Walter and Maudie Zornes Cartee.

Jean was a former housekeeper and attended McArthur Free Will Baptist Church and the Calvary Assembly of God Church in McArthur.

She is survived by a brother, Durwood Cartee; sisters, Thelma Adams, Garnet Daft, Marcella Dean Lafferty, Alma Peoples, Vivian Yates, Leona Maynard and Minnie Herman Collins and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by three sisters, Alean and Lillian Cartee and Louise Rutter.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Henderson and Rev. Carl Radcliff officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Dundas. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
