Mildred L. Millie Tucker

Mildred L. ""Millie"" Tucker, 80, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born August 9, 1931 in Pickaway County, Ohio, daughter of the late Emery L. and Alta Ankrom Bircher. Millie was married to Paul Tucker, who survives.

She retired from General Electric and The Hocking Valley Advertiser. Millie was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, was past worthy Matron of Venus Chapter #76 OES and was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary.

Millie is survived by a daughter, Dodie Roger Carpenter of Logan; grandchildren, Marisa Wilson of Logan and Ryan Kimberly Carpenter of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Tucker and Jenna Wilson both of Logan; sisters, Viola William Beck of Trenton, Michigan and Violet Cormanick of Pataskala; sisters-in-law, Donna Dave Williamson of Logan and Doris Baker of West Point and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, December 24, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Perry, County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 5-8 P.M. where Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 P.M. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the services.
