Jeffrey Todd Mundy

Jeffrey ""Todd"" Mundy, 62, of McArthur, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2011 while visiting his daughter's home in McArthur. He was born on December 23, 1949 in Clover Ridge, West Virginia, the son of Jane Webb Mundy and the late Jack G. Mundy.

Todd was truly devoted to his family; as always being a caring son and brother, a loving husband, a wonderful father and a proud ""Papaw."" His kindness and joy in helping others was evident through his outstanding commitment of service with the McArthur Volunteer Fire Department and the Vinton County Emergency Medical Services. He loved life, being with family and friends, staying busy and building in his ""Shop.""

Todd was a graduate of Beckley College in Beckley, WV and attended Concord College in Athens, WV. He was the manager of the Super America store in Logan, Ohio for 15 years. He later worked as a Loan Officer at the Citizens Bank in Logan and the Salt Creek Valley Bank in Laurelville.

Todd is survived by his wife of 38 years, Connie Jarrell Mundy; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Corey West; grandsons, Brayden and Blaine West; mother, Jane Webb Mundy of Leivasy, WV; sister, Janna Rose Ashton Greg of Roanoke, Texas; brothers, Jimmy Mundy Helen of Charlotte, NC and Jack L. Mundy Darlene of Yorktown, VA; mother-in-law, Delma ""Jonnie"" Jarrell, 3 nieces, 4 nephews and many special friends who were there for him as he fought through his illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack G. Mundy and father-in-law, Herbert L. Jarrell.

He was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church, Delta Lodge #207, F&AM, 32nd Degree Mason Valley of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Sereno Chapter #128 Order of the Eastern Star. Todd also served as a Boy Scout leader for several years.

Todd received a liver transplant on April 8, 2011. His family would like for you to consider ""BE A HERO – BE A DONER.""

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2011 in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble and Holzer Medical Center Chaplain, Fred Williams officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M. where a Masonic service will be held at 7 P.M. and a Firefighters service will be held at 7:30 P.M. and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Jeffrey ""Todd"" Mundy, to the McArthur Fire Department, 303 W. High St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
