Mary Ann ""Nan"" King, 82, of Logan, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born January 22, 1929 in Logan, daughter of the late John and Emma Loise Rowland Geiger. She was married to the late James Robert ""Bob"" King, who passed away July 18, 2007, for 54 years.
Nan was an extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Logan High School and Ohio University, was a member of St. John Catholic Church and was formerly an active member of the ladies auxiliary of the church.
She is survived by sons, Kurt Colleen King of Port St. Lucie, FL, Kris Holly King and Kreg Ron Owens King both of Cincinnati; daughters, Kim Aaron Miller of Logan and Kerri Jason Pollet of Columbus; grandchildren, Isaac Heather Miller of Wichita Falls, Texas, Nicki Tyler King of Logan, Daniel Amanda Cruse Barnett of Boston, MA and Samuel King of Port St. Lucie, FL; a great grandson on the way, Keegan Miller; a brother, Jeff Jane Geiger of Gallipolis; a brother-in-law, B.J. Linda King of Logan; longtime family friend, Cindy Snider of Logan and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Barnett and a brother, Bud Geiger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Monsignor William Dunn officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
