Mildred M. Steward

Mildred M. ""Mick"" Steward, 94, of Lancaster, formerly of Logan, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster. She was born August 27, 1917 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Craig and Alice Drake Owings. She was the widow of the late Donald E. Steward.

Mick attended Gloryland Nazarene Church in Lancaster.

She is survived by a sister, Alberta Yates of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews, including a great niece with whom she made her home.

In addition to her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alva W. Smith; a brother, John Owings and sisters, Grace I. Patterson and Hazel Trader.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan with Pastor Mark Clingan officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
