Orval E. Ruff

Orval E. Ruff, 84, of Logan, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born January 13, 1928 in Hocking County, son of the late George W. and Florence Ringhiser Ruff. Orval was married to the late Earlene Ruff.

He retired from Carborundum in Logan, was a WWII Army Veteran and a former member of the Logan Moose Lodge.

Orval is survived by his sisters, Geraldine Pavlik of Columbus and Joan Huston of Logan and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Porter, James and Harry Ruff and sisters, Dessie Nixon, Sylvia Stuart, Vera Johnson and Alta Marie Ruff.

Graveside services will be held 10 A.M., Monday, January 23, 2012 at the New Fairview Mausoleum in Rockbridge, with Rev. Jason Sheets officiating. Friends may call at New Fairview Mausoleum, one hour prior to the services.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
