Anna June Runge

July 17, 1924 — January 21, 2012

Anna June Runge, 87, of Logan, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born July 17, 1924 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Newton and Nora Ice. Anna was married to Edwin A. Runge, who survives.

She was a retired secretary at Mechanical Industries and was a receptionist at Carborundum in Logan. Anna was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster, a former member of BPW in Logan and was in Twig.

Anna is survived by a daughter, Rachael Gus Zandt of Binghamton, New York; sons, Brent A. Stephanie Runge, David Lois Runge and Mark A. Susan Runge all of Logan; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; a brother, Jack N. Ice of Dunedin, Florida; sister, Pamela Beougher of Akron and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Runge and brother, Donald Ice.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1400 Concordia Drive, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, with Rev. Dr. John C. Davidson officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Tuesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Anna June Runge, to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1400 Concordia Dr., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
