Eliza E. Woltz

Eliza E. Woltz, 87, of Ray, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 28, 1924 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Bern and Cora Welch Morris. Eliza was the widow of the late James H. Woltz.

She retired from Goodyear in Logan.

Eliza is survived by sons, Charles Minnie Young, Harley Billie Lynn Woltz and James Mary Woltz; daughters, Phyllis David Michael, Judy Michael Durkin, Carolyn Claude Cunningham and Ann James; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and a sister, Polly Byrd.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Emmitt ""Pete"" Smith and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Robin Wargowsky officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Eliza E. Woltz, to Holzer Hospice, 100 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
