Betty Jane Poches

Betty Jane Poches, 85, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born November 1, 1926 in Hollister, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank and Essa Thompson Cairelli. Betty was the widow of the late Alexander Poches.

She retired from Ohio University, was a 1946 graduate of Glouster High School, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster and was also a member of the Jacksonville VFW Auxiliary Post #9866.

Betty is survived by her grandchildren, Brent Carol Poches of Glouster, Chris Poches of Gahanna, Wendy Poches of Phoenix, Arizona, Heath Bailes of Glouster, Scott Poches of Gahanna and Corey Poches of Columbus; great grandchildren, Taylor, Alexander, Lillian, Brenden and Josh Poches, Logan, Hannah, Noah and Jake Bailes, Janay and Jessica Grubb and Krista; daughter-in-law, Debbie Keirns of Glouster; special friend, Betty Deal of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Paul Dale of Dayton; sisters-in-law, Betty Cairelli and Alice Spencer and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald and Michael Poches; brothers-in-law, Louis, James and Albert Cairelli and sisters, Loretta McGlaughlin, Mary Edwards and Eileen Dale.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Glouster, with Father David Cornett officiating. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Glouster. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster, on Sunday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. where a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9866 service will be held at 7 P.M.
