Ruth Marjorie Rush

Ruth Marjorie Rush, 95, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hospice of The Valley, Friendship Village Health Care Center in Tempe, Arizona. She was born September 29, 1916 in New Straitsville, daughter of the late Grover and Minnie Cheetham Backus. Ruth was the widow of the late Clyde Rush.

She was a member of New Straitsville United Methodist Church and a member of OES.

Ruth is survived by her nephews, Jeff Williamson of Phoenix, Arizona, Bruce Williamson of Phoenix, Arizona and Robert LuAnn Williamson of Georgia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Velma Williamson, Lillian Sines and Claire Backus and a nephew, Bill Tate.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in New Straitsville Cemetery, with Rev. Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Ruth Rush to Hospice of the Valley, Friendship Village Health Care Center, 2525 E. Southern Ave., Tempe, Arizona, 85282.
