Debora Kay Martin

Debora Kay Martin, 46, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains. She was born October 16, 1965 in Athens County, daughter of the late Ted and Martha Bruce Martin.

Debora is survived by a daughter, Tedara Pierce of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Kaitlyne Villeda, Kourtney Villeda and Alysa Scherer; brothers, Teddy Becky Martin of Millfield, Jerry Martin of Nelsonville, Dwayne ""Weiner"" Martin of Nelsonville and Mitchell Martin of Nelsonville and sisters, Sheila ""Pank"" Russ Barnhart of Hollister, Cindy Martin of Nelsonville and Sheryl Jim Davis of Nelsonville.

In additition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Whitmore; brothers, Bernard ""Bern"" Martin and Henry Martin and a sister, Sheila ""Sis"" Albright.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 in the Word of God Community Church, 219 S. Plains Rd., The Plains, with Rev. Teddy Martin officiating. For service time, please call Rev. Teddy Martin at 740 797-3279. No visitation will be held. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
