Richard Dick Rutherford

Richard ""Dick"" Rutherford, age 57, passed suddenly from this life the morning of Saturday, May 19, 2012.

He leaves behind his loving wife Colleen, two young children Casey and Emily; his four grown children, Terrell and Matt Mingus, Tiffany and Jeremy Woods, Heath and Connie Zickafoose and Tammy Lamb; seven beautiful grandchildren, Victoria and Larkin Mingus, Zoe and Tye Woods, Garrett Zickafoose and Jacob and Alison Lamb; his very best friend, Mike Barney, who was like a brother to him and many other close friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Mildred Chaney Rutherford and his brother, Tim Rutherford.

Dick was a very honest and Righteous man who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and knapping arrowheads. He will be missed forever by all of his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Harper officiating. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from noon until the time of the service.
