Wilma Jean Bartoe

Wilma Jean Bartoe, 82, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born June 15, 1929 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Lafe and Margaret Kisor England. Wilma was the widow of the late William Wesley Bartoe.

She worked at Lake Hope State Park, Twin Maples Nursing Home and the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Wilma was a member of the McArthur VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #5299 and F.O.E. Auxiliary #2279. She gave her life to the Lord at the Lost and Found Worship Center where she was saved and baptized. Wilma also attended the First Christian Church in McArthur.

She is survived by her five sons, Larry Dora Bartoe of Colton, Jack Judy Bartoe of Zaleski, Roger Anna Bartoe of McArthur, Richard Karen Bartoe of McArthur and Bill Patricia Bartoe of Zaleski; a daughter, Kathy Lonnie Grigsby of McArthur; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and a special friend, Emily Hughes of McArthur.

In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Daft Bartoe; three brothers, Lawrence, Walter and Marvin; two sisters, Dorthy and Star and a special friend, Andrew Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, June 2, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Walter Norris officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 6-8 P.M.
