Carlene D. Wing

Carlene D. Wing, 88, of Laurelville, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born April 29, 1924 in Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late Carlos and Margaret E. McManis Ashmore.

Carlene is survived by her sons, Harley Barbara Wing of Laurelville and Claude Karen Wing of Creola; daughters, Margaret Hunt of Laurelville, Carrie McNeal of Chillicothe and Mary Jean Mike Tipple of Lancaster; nineteen grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Ashmore of Creola and sisters, Nellie Dannier of Adelphia and Mable Mears of Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Dora Dietzel and Martha Ellen Anthony; a son, Lawrence Edward Wing; four brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services will be held 3 P.M., Monday, June 4, 2012 at Locust Grove Cemetery, Vinton County. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
