Donna Lee Skivers

Donna Lee Skivers, 81, of The Plains, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her home in the company of loved ones. Born September 27, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Eugene W. Skivers and Delphia White Skivers.

Donna had retired from Atco Inc. and had previously attended the Building Bridges Adult Center in Athens, Ohio.

Donna is survived by numerous long-time friends and loved ones including, Lynne Friihauf and Garland Reynolds, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna also has many close friends and supporters at Havar Inc. and at the ACBDD, who provided support to Donna for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dale, Clarence, Mervin, Helen, Norma, Bernice and Bonnie.

Donna's loved ones would like to express profound gratitude to Kathy Roshon of APSI and to Jenny Town at the staff of the Appalachian Community VNA Hospice and Health Services for the wonderful support they provided to Donna during the past two months.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, June 29, 2012 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 12 P.M. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna's name to Appalachian Community VNA Hospice and Health Services Inc., 30 Herrold Ave., Athens, Ohio 45701.
