Luke Kyle Hollingshead

Luke Kyle Hollingshead, 15, of McArthur, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 7, 2012. He was born September 20, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio, son of Joseph Eugene and Misty Hayes Hollingshead of McArthur.

Luke was a member of the Hamden Engineers 4-H Club.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Bo Tylar and Hunter Lee Hollingshead of McArthur; a sister, Alexis Kay Hollingshead of McArthur; grandparents, Mark Hayes of Allensville, Frances Brewer of McArthur, Joe Hollingshead of Wellston and Christy Kornmiller of Logan; great grandparents, Loisene Hoy of McArthur and Mavis Hayes of Marengo; his best friend, Kenny Leonard of McArthur and his dog, Marley.

Luke was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Robert Eugene Hoy, William Owen Hayes, Grace Shaffer and Andrew and Doris Hollingshead.

Within the family, Luke always liked to be first and now he's leading the way for the rest of us. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Vinton County Fairgrounds, Fern Kruger Building, 31935 State Route 93, McArthur, with Rev. Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Vinton County Fairgrounds, Fern Kruger Building, on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Luke Kyle Hollingshead, to Christi Darst, 9500 State Route 56 East, Circleville, Ohio 43113.
