Ruth R. Johnston

Ruth R. Johnston, 92, of Logan, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home in Hocking County. She was born May 30, 1920 in Perry County, daughter of the late James and Emma Marlow Goodlive. Ruth was the widow of the late Walter Rowe Johnston.

She was a retired school teacher from the Logan Hocking School District, attended the First Baptist Church in Logan and volunteered for many years at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Wendell Sue Johnston of Rockbridge and Lloyd Barbara Johnston of Logan; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter; four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. James Ditty officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
