Pearl Marjorie Mace

December 5, 1926 — July 29, 2012

Pearl Marjorie Mace, 85, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born December 5, 1926 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Scott and Elizabeth Murphy Stover. Pearl was the widow of the late Lloyd ""Tucker"" Mace.

She was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church in Nelsonville.

Pearl is survived by a son, John Ruby Mace and daughter, Bonnie Weaver both of Nelsonville; daughter-in-law, Brenda Mace of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Emily Wayne Strickland of Guysville, Steve Tiffany Mace Jr., Matthew Mace, Greg Simms, Jason Valerie Simms and John Mace Jr. all of Nelsonville; great grandchildren, Rachel, Sandy, Lexi, Sean, Taylor and Elizabeth and a sister, Sylvia Doolittle of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Mace Sr.; grandchildren, Kelly, Ben and Richard Mace; brothers, Odell, Dale, Roscoe, Russell and Sonny Stover and sisters, Bonnie Stover, Edith M. Stover, Hazel Potter, Audrey Murphy and Genevieve Jones.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens, Athens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M.
