Clarence "Bill" S. Bowen

Clarence S. “Bill” Bowen, 88, of Wilkesville, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born October 2, 1923 in Vinton County, son of the late Eli G. and Emma J. Hutchison Bowen.

Bill was a former machinist.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda Diane Core; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Garnet L. Bowen and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter and eleven brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with Pastor David Peoples officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
