Delma "Jonnie" Louise Jarrell

Delma Louise “Jonnie” Jarrell, 81, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson. She was born November 7, 1930 in Cabin Creek, West Virginia, daughter of the late James K. and Minerva Jarrell Hodges. Jonnie was the widow of the late Herbert L. Jarrell.

She was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and the Calvary Assembly of God. Jonnie was a former Girl Scout leader and a former Vinton County Band Booster.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Mundy of McArthur; granddaughter, Amanda (Corey) West of McArthur; great grandsons, Brayden and Blaine West; brother, James L. Hodges of Alabama; a sister, Virginia Jarrett of Alaska and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jonnie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Todd Mundy and two brothers, Sebert L. Hastings and Jack Hodges.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Carl Radcliff and Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Entombment will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens, Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
