Helen Eva King

Helen Eva King, 92, of Glouster, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born September 21, 1920 in Glouster, daughter of the late Samuel and Rose Covella Kamento. Helen was the widow of the late Leo P. King.

She formerly worked at McBee’s in Athens and volunteered at Trimble Elementary School in the Foster Grandparents Program. Helen was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Womens Club and was also a member of the Glouster Garden Club.

Helen is survived by her sons, David (Marsha) King of Canal Winchester and Rodney King of The Plains; daughters, Linda (Jim) Reichard of Statesboro, Georgia and Brenda (Tom) Mooney of New Lexington; seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Albert and Frank Kamento both of Glouster and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Grcic and brothers, John, Torrine, Alfred and Dan Kamento.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Glouster, with Father David Cornett officiating. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Trimble. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster, on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M. where a Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 P.M.
