David Lee Muncy

David Lee Muncy, 55, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 4, 1957 in Xenia, son of Reggie (Kay) Muncy of Springfield and the late Joyce Winburn Lazzele. David was married to Judy Smith Muncy, who survives.

He was a self employed contractor and a social member of the Nelsonville VFW and the Nelsonville Elks.

David is survived by his sons, Zeke Muncy of Nelsonville, Mark (Tammy) Shaver of Nelsonville and Roger (Lisa) Robinette of New Straitsville; a daughter, Jessica (Kenneth Smith) Muncy of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Joclynn, Savanna, Hope, Kayla, Seth, Cristina, P.J. and Billy; brothers, Bobby Lazzele of New Carlisle, Tim Muncy of California and J.R. Muncy of Oregon; sisters, Jennifer Lazzele of New Carlisle, Cheryl Lazzele of Washington Courthouse and Lori Muncy of Springfield; special uncle, Harvey Muncy and his life long best friends, Bob (Judy) Lewis of New Carlisle.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Arthur Winburn and George and Lorraine Muncy.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5-8 P.M.
