Niles "Windy" M. Waldron

Niles M. Waldron, 83, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born December 3, 1928 in Vinton County, son of the late Glen and Garnel Remy Waldron. Niles was married to Clara Saltz Waldron, who survives.

He retired from Martin Marietta in Piketon, was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church and was a 63 year member and past Master of Delta Lodge #207 F&AM. Niles enjoyed target shooting, photography and woodworking.

He is survived by a son, Michael (Liz) Waldron of Cape Coral, Florida; daughter, Annette Andrews of McArthur; grandchildren, Melanie, Carrie, Matthew, Kimberly, Noah, Holly and Jacob Waldron and David and Michael Andrews; great grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Waldron, Emma Henry, Logan and Nolan Jenkins and Gracie Andrews; a brother, Ray (Barbara) Waldron of McArthur; sisters, Racine Williamson of Sarasota, Florida, Linda Maerker of Hamden, Gail Worrix of McArthur, Ann Leonard of Hamden, Kathy Williamson of Lathem and Margie Barlow of Waverly; stepdaughters, Lisa (Steve) Carr of McArthur and Marilyn (Rick) Manderick of Guysville; step grandchildren, Laura Manderick and Tyler Carr and a special niece, Marilyn Warner.

In addition to his parents, Niles was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Harvey Waldron; grandson, Brad Waldron and a sister, Betty June Sturgill.

Niles wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Niles M. Waldron, to the Ronald McDonald House, 711 East Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43205.
