Tommy Joe Elliott

Tommy Joe Elliott, 54, of Logan, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1958 in Nelsonville, son of the late Harry and Rosie Fugitt Elliott. Tom was married for 26 years to Bonita “Sally” Rutherford Elliott, who survives.

He retired from SEPTA Correctional Facility, was a member of Logan Vineyard Church, the Logan Moose and graduated from Nelsonville-York High School in 1976. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed and always remembered.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by his children, Shad (Nikki) Elliott of Logan, Brian (Karen) Elliott of Nelsonville; Brian (Shelly) Mays of Logan, Ben (Darcy) Mays of Carbon Hill and LeeAnn Mays of Carbon Hill; grandchildren, Trenton, Madison, Ashton, Espen, Morgan, Mason, Mackenzie, Dash, Sierra, Seth, Zachary, Dakota, Chelsie, Jed, Michael, Dominique and Jared; brothers, Ron (Michelle) Elliott of McArthur, Richard (Connie) Elliott of Nelsonville and Mike (Sharon) Elliott of Nelsonville; sisters, Sandy (Gary) Warren of Nelsonville and Sue (Denver) Johnson of Nelsonville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Bill Fuller and Pastor Tim Kelly officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M.
