Mary Jane Grant, 88, of Logan, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 18, 1924 in McArthur, daughter of the late John Williams and Harriet Felton Hunter. Mary Jane was married to Karl S. Grant, who survives.

She was a retired teacher from the Logan Hocking School District who was loved by all of her students. Mary Jane was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Logan and the Hocking County Humane Society. She was a former member of Sereno Chapter #148 OES and a member and twice past Worthy Matron of Venus Chapter #76 OES. Mary Jane was a 60 year member of East Star.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Megan Rose Grant of Logan; sister, Roselle Hunter of Logan; aunt, Ferne Felton of McArthur and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Larry Hoffman officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M. where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mary Jane Grant, to the Hocking County Humane Society, 36960 Hocking Dr., Logan, Ohio 43138.
