Ervin Franklin Barbee

Ervin Franklin Barbee, 83, of Hamden, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Hustons Nursing Home in Hamden. He was born September 6, 1929 in Byer, Ohio, son of the late William Oliver and Edna Marie Nichols Barbee.

Ervin was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran.

He is survived by his sons, Ervin Franklin Barbee Jr. of Grove City, William Ray Barbee of Columbus, James Anthony Barbee of LaCygne, Kansas and Daniel Eugene Barbee of Pleasanton, Kansas; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Norman Leroy Barbee of Montrose, Michigan and John Wesley Barbee of Columbus and sisters, Martha Elouise Gorrell of Hamden and Janice Marie Leonard of Grove City.

In addition to his parents, Ervin was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and Carl Barbee and sisters, Clara Richart, Phyllis Richmond and Jane Koerner.

Funeral services will be held 7 P.M., Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5 P.M. until the time of the service.
