Wilmer H. “Bill” Loomis, 84, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born January 12, 1928 in Hocking County, son of the late Earl and Ruth Hardesty Loomis. Bill was married for 62 years to JoAnn McDowell Loomis, who survives.
He was a retired contractor and a WWII Navy Veteran.
Bill is survived by his sons, Jim Loomis of Mulberry, Florida and Dan Loomis of Logan; daughters, Pam (Bud) Conner of New Plymouth and Linda (Wesley) Kemper of New Straitsville; grandchildren, Danny Loomis, Jessica Loomis, Leah (Tyler) Nihiser, Zack Conner, Rebecca (Kyle) Inboden and Brian (Christinia) Kemper; great grandchildren, Clay Inboden and Kennedy Kemper; a brother, Bob Loomis of Mulberry, Florida and a sister of Eileen Hopkins Mulberry Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel “Sis” Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, December 10, 2012 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Charles Eagle officiating. Interment will be in New Plymouth Cemetery, New Plymouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from noon until the time of the service.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Wilmer H. Loomis to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
