Donald E. Stivison Sr.

Donald E. Stivison Sr., 84, of Logan, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born September 22, 1928 in Hocking County, son of the late Herbert and Ethel Helber Stivison. Donald was married to Mary Eloise Swaim Stivison, who survives.

He retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 33 years of service, was a farmer and a Korean Conflict Army Veteran.

Donald is survived by his sons, Dennis (Harriet) Hammond of Logan and Donald E. Stivison Jr. of Logan; daughter, Debbie (Eugene) Cherry of Logan; grandchildren, Denny (Tiffany) Hammond, Justin (Jamie) Hammond and Bill (Jessie) Cherry; great grandchildren, Paige and Braiden Hammond; brother, Ronald (Janet) Stivison of Logan; sister, Joanne Ruffner of Logan; sister-in-law, Westine Stivison; half brothers, David Stivison and Rick Stivison; half sisters, Judy Tootle and Rita Stivison and a step sister, Donna Covert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Stivison and Oscar Leroy Stivison and half brothers, Mickey Stivison and Lee Stivison.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor Thomas L. Gates officiating. Entombment will be in New Fairview Mausoleum, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
