Cecil Rose

Cecil Rose, 75, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born December 26, 1937 in Pikeville, Kentucky, son of the late Arlon and Mary Holland Rose. Cecil was married to the late Glenda Stalker Rose.

He was a retired coal miner.

Cecil is survived by his sons, Deran (Melissa) Rose of Buchtel, Randall (Tonya Stobart) Rose of Nelsonville and Dwayne (Lisa Sheets) Ratliff of Logan; daughter, Gayle (Roger) Holbrooks and Pamela (Darrell) Perry both of Pikeville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Woody Frasure officiating. Interment will be in Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Cecil Rose to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
