Joyce Ann Gillespie

Joyce Ann Gillespie, 67, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born December 18, 1945 in Oldham Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Vernon C. and Marie Farmer Abney. She was the widow of the late Robert D. Gillespie.

Joyce was co-owner of Romano’s Pizza in Nelsonville and attended Faith Tabernacle Church.

She is survived by children, Mark Gillespie of Lancaster and Kristen Gillespie of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Sean, Hayden and Tucker Gillespie, Bryce, Ciearra and Trevor Gowen and Ava Gillespie; a great granddaughter and brothers, Lyle (Belle) Abney, Steve Abney and Vernon (Barbara) Abney all of Kentucky and Rodney (Becky) Abney of Illinois.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Brent Gillespie.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Faith Tabernacle Church, 17499 US Rt. 33, Nelsonville with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville
