Mildred E. Rodehaver, 89, of Chauncey, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1923 in Middleport, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nora Arthur Neighbors.
She was retired from Carol Lee’s Donut Shop in Athens and formerly worked at the A&P Grocery Store and managed Motel Athens.
Mildred is survived by daughters, Kay (Larry) Smith of Athens and Connie (Jim) Darbyshire of DeBary, Florida; three grandchildren, Kelly (Brent) Hawk of Albany, Jamie (Steven) Mlujeak of Pembroke, Florida and Gregg (Amy) Darbyshire of DeBary, Florida and five great grandchildren, Cory (Connie Young) Gillette, Michael (Jackie) Hawk, Stephanie and Tyler Mlujeak and Jonathan Darbyshire; two nieces, Lisa Brosnahan of Gahanna and Maria Marcello of Lancaster; special friends Howard and Ruth Russell and everyone at Cee Dee carryout.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Virgil Perry, Russell Reynolds and James Rodehaver and a sister, Margie Marcello.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Friends may call 5-8 PM, Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville.
