Frank "Don" D. Allen Jr.

Frank D. “Don” Allen Jr., 73, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. He was born December 9, 1939 in Hocking County, son of the late Frank and Helen Bentley Allen Sr. Don was married to Linda Stewart Allen, who survives.

He was employed at Athens Hocking Reclamation Center.

Don is survived by his sons, Carl (Cindy) Allen of Buchtel and Ronald (Debbie) Allen of Kentucky; daughters, JoAnn Edmondson and Crystal Moore both of Kentucky; stepsons, Okey Howdyshell of Logan and Nathan Howdyshell of Rushville; stepdaughters, Jennifer Peters of Lancaster and Amanda Taylor of Rushville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother, David (Gloria) Allen of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Allen and brother, John Allen.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Andy Good officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
