Bertina I. Hayes

Bertina I. Hayes, 78, of McArthur, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 15, 1934 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Everett Thomas Hoyd and Mabel Leone. Bertina was the widow of the late James Robert Hayes.

She was a former direct health care provider for the elderly.

Bertina is survived by her daughter, Theresa Hayes.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, James Robert Hayes II.

Cremation has taken place. No visitation or services will be held. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur,
