Charles C. Chaffin

Charles C. Chaffin, 84, of Logan, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born July 21, 1927 in Haydenville, son of the late Tracy and Elizabeth Chaffin. Charles was married to Ruth Taylor Chaffin, who survives.

He retried from Carborundum in Logan and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Charles is survived by his sons, Calvin E. (Sharon) Chaffin of Logan, Robert L. (Pam) Chaffin of The Plains and Ralph E. (Pam) Chaffin of Logan; grandchildren, Albert, Cheryl, Jennifer, Linda and Samantha; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Cecil and Eddie Chaffin; sisters, Ruby Strickler and Thelma Hall and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, February 28, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Pastor James Ditty officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Charles C. Chaffin to the First Baptist Church, 475 Norwood Ave., Logan, Ohio 43138.
