Nora B. Pearse Martin

Nora B. Pearse Martin, a lifelong resident of Vinton County, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Nora was born January 29, 1917 to the late Walter and Velma Pearse.

She was a fifty plus year member of the Sereno Chapter #128 OES in McArthur.

Nora was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lowell Martin; son-in-law, Paul Clary; a brother, Robert Pearse and three sisters, Hazel Martin, Mary Must and Nancy Arthur.

She is survived by her three children, Jerry F. (Diane) Martin of Alliance, Ohio, Donna Clary of Ray and Lou Anne (George) Miller of Englewood, Ohio; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild. She also leaves behind three sisters, Louise (Kenneth) Martin of Centerville, Martha (William) Stevens of Beavercreek and Betty (Harold) Brewer of Seminole, Florida; sisters-in-law, Helen Wise of Zaleski and Betty Bowen of Greenfield, Indiana along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, March 9, 2013 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9 A.M. until the time of the service.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Nora B. Martin to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
