Vivian "Jean" Standall

Vivian “Jean” Standall, 85, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains. She was born February 6, 1928 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late William Leonard “Tate” and Ruby Louise Roscoe Cooley. Jean was the widow of the late Frank Leroy Standall Sr.

She was the former receptionist for Dr. Sines and was a member of the Nelsonville Presbyterian Church. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her son, Frank (Alice) Standall Jr. of Nelsonville; daughters, Connie (Rodney) Call of Nelsonville, Deborah Jean (Mike) Corder of Haydenville and Linda (Jerry) Dodd of Columbus, Georgia; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; a brother, Bill Cooley of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and a sister, Martha Sines of Nelsonville.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4-8 P.M.
