James E. Sigler Sr.

James E. Sigler Sr., 67, of Logan, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Logan. He was born March 7, 1946 in Hocking County, son of the late Robert V. Sigler and Helen Hardin Spears. James was married to the late Beverly A. Carpenter Sigler.

He was a former carpet installer for Hedges Carpet Barn, a lifetime musician and was a Vietnam Army Veteran.

James is survived by his son, James Michael (Kasey L.) Sigler of Logan; daughter, Leanna M. Sigler; grandchildren, Seth M. Sigler, Kayle Sigler and Josie Sigler; brothers, William (Joyce) Sigler of Logan, Richard (Sharon) Sigler of Logan and Mick (Patty) Sigler of Somerset; sister, Norma (Norman) Eddington of San Bernardino, California; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend, Deanna Bear of Dover, Ohio,

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert V. Sigler and sister, Patty Sayre.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, April 5, 2013 in the Logan Church of the Nazarene, 650 Walhonding Ave., Logan, with Rev. Mark Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Thursday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
