Arvilla Wilson

Crystal “Arvilla” Wilson, 94, of Nelsonville, went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 13, 2013, following a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1919 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late John E. and Emma Powell Phillips. She was the widow of the late Woodrow Wilson.

She was a member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene.

Arvilla is survived by sons, Jerry (Ruth) Wilson of Marshfield, MO, Tom (Jeanne) Wilson of Lancaster, Steve (Jenny) Wilson of Springboro; daughters, Arlene (Fred) Conner of Shreveport, LA, Sandra (Joe) Wilson of Big Bear Lake, CA and Jennifer (Todd) Sichel of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Julia Thompson of The Plains and Norma Hamilton of Doanville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise McCulloch, two brothers, John and Jack Phillips and a great grandson, Richard Eady.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St, Nelsonville with Rev. Ed True officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
