Bonita L. “Sally” Elliott, 66, of Logan, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born February 27, 1947 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Larry and Dorothy Filter Rutherford. Sally was the widow of the late Tommy Joe Elliott.
She was a retired Customer Service Coordinator from Kroger Company in Logan, a member of The Vineyard Church in Logan, a member of the Logan Moose Lodge and was an avid bowler.
Sally is survived by her children, Brian (Shelly) Mays of Logan, Ben (Darcy) Mays of Carbon Hill, LeeAnn Mays of Carbon Hill, Shad (Nikki) Elliott of Logan and Brian (Karen) Elliott of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Trenton, Madison, Ashton, Espen, Morgan, Mason, Mackenzie, Dash, Sierra, Seth, Zachary, Dakota, Chelsie, Jed, Michael, Dominique and Jared; great grandchild, Michael; brother, William “Bo” (Darla) Rutherford of Carbon Hill and sisters, Loretta “Louie” (Chris) Whitmore of Carbon Hill and Helen “Dee Dee” McWilliams of Carbon Hill.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Rutherford.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Bill Fuller officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
