Adda Eileen Hillyer, 86, of Grove City, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born March 19, 1927 in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late Pearl and Gertrude Hipscher Brown. Eileen was married for 67 years to Harold E. Hillyer, who survives.
She retired from General Motors Fisher Guide Division in Columbus, attended Holzer Hospital Cadets Nursing School and graduated from Glouster High School. Eileen was a 50 year member of the Grove City United Methodist Church, a member of Eastern Star #502, Ladies of Oriental Shrine and Thea Court #5.
She is survived by her sons, Jim (Connie) Hillyer of Alliance, Ohio, Gary (Florence) Hillyer of Plain City, Ohio, David Hillyer of Grove City and Mark (Tyra) Hillyer of Mechanicstown, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Cook, Heidi Salierno, Jessica Hillyer and Josh and Justin Hillyer; great grandchildren, Cody and Leonard Cook, Elijah, Giovanni and Luca Salierno; sister, Norma Pallo of Jacksonville; sisters-in-law, Margaret Brown of Avon Lake, Mardell Campbell of Nelsonville and Patty Hillyer of Washington and special cousins, Bonnie Brunton and Mary Tolliver.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, William and Richard Brown.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster, with Rev. Brian Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M.
