Jerry Edward Oliver, 73, of Granville, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at The Villages in Florida. He was born December 5, 1939 in Nelsonville, son of the late Oscar Edward and Edna Marie Shafer Oliver. Jerry was married for 48 years to Judy Lash Oliver, who survives.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather with a passion for travel and adventure. He graduated from The Ohio State University School of Pharmacy and was dedicated to his profession, practicing pharmacy for 50 years. He worked at Fosters Drug Store in Nelsonville for a time and was a Hospital Pharmacist in Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. He was the Director of the Pharmacy Department at the Knox Community Hospital for many years and was a member of the American Pharmacists Association and the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Jerry also enjoyed his time as a small business owner.

In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by his son, Nathan (Aisha) Oliver of Granville; daughter, Ann Oliver Fisher of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Aisha, Isabella, Arianna, Connor, Landon Edward and Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Nelsonville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, on Friday, from 6-8 P.M and one hour prior to the service at the church.
