Marjorie Riley

Marjorie Riley, 89, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born December 20, 1923 in Doanville, daughter of the late Burley and Thelma Tittle Blair. Marjorie married to the late Thomas Riley who passed away June 17, 2011, for 38 years.

She retired from Woolco and attended the First United Methodist Church in Nelsonville and was a member of the Nelsonville VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Marge is survived her children, Maggie “Sis” (Steve) Mowery of Logan, Lori (Anita Mondo) Pierce of Nelsonville, , Barb (Ed) Flowers of Nelsonville, Pat (Jane) Riley of Granville, Deb (Greg) Fraunfelter of Logan, Don (Lissa) Riley of Athens and Joe (Janet) Riley of Nelsonville, Janet Hartshorn of Nelsonville, David (Rose) Riley of Athens; daughters-in-law, Carolyn Riley and Margie Pierce both of Nelsonville and Billie Pierce of Ft. Pierce, Florida; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; brother, Richard Blair of Naples, Florida; sister-in-law, Patsy Blair of Lebanon and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmie Pierce; second husband, Thomas Riley; sons, Bob Pierce and Jim Pierce; stepsons, Bobby Gene Riley and Mark Riley; brothers, Robert, Gerald and Bill Blair and grandparents, Richard and Mollie Tittle.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, May 16, 2013, in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M at the funeral home.
