Jerry L Burchfield

Jerry L. Burchfield, 73, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born April 22, 1940, in Nelsonville, son of the late Andrew J. and Florence G. Ray Burchfield.

Jerry worked at Brooks Shoe Factory up until his retirement and was a social member of Nelsonville VFW Post 3467.

He is survived by two brothers and a sister, Rodger (Jeanne) Burchfield of Nelsonville, Charlene Johnson of Logan and Charles (Phyllis) Burchfield of Nelsonville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvie Tucker and sister, Virginia “Jean” Zinn.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Larry Swart officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
