Robert "Jake" Eugene Keesee

Robert “Jake” Eugene Keesee, 77, of McArthur, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Maple Hills Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in McArthur. He was born April 28, 1936 in Hamden, son of the late Jay and Inez Thompson Keesee.

Jake was a heavy diesel mechanic and a member of the McArthur Eagles and McArthur VFW.

Jake is survived by his daughters, Bobbi Jo Sanftleben of Hazlehurst, Wisconsin and Patti Keesee of Margate, Florida; grandchildren, Josephine, Jennifer, Daniel Jay, Laura, Shane Robert and Kayli; brothers, Dallas (Susie) Keesee of Mansfield, Jerry Keesee of McArthur and George Keesee of Crown Point, Indiana; sisters, Doretha Atwood of McArthur, Billie Freeman of Butler, Bertha Lee Mitchell of McArthur and Jane (Gary) Brown of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Keesee; daughter, Tammy Evans; brother, Charlie Keesee and sister, Effie Ann Keesee.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. No graveside service will be held. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
