Kendall Dawn Sweany

Kendall Dawn Sweany, 17, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in Athens County, as a result of an auto accident. She was born April 8, 1996 in Chillicothe, Ohio daughter of the late Linda Dawn Sweany and Darren Montgomery of Maryland.

Kendall was a student at Vinton County High School where she was involved in Tennis, Track, the Spanish Club and FCCLA.

She is survived by her sisters, Destiny Moore, Brianna and Tianna Montgomery; brother, J.R. Montgomery; grandparents, Roger and Linda Reynolds and Gary Sweany; aunts, Penny Hutchison and Stefanie Sweany; uncle, Mark Coleman and uncle and aunt, Tim and Janet Sweany.

Funeral services will be held 6 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2013, in the Vinton County High School Gymnasium, 63910 US Highway 50, McArthur, with Pastor William Roth and Pastor Jesse Reynolds officiating. Friends may call at the Vinton County High School Gymnasium on Friday, from 3 P.M. until the time of the service.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Kendall Dawn Sweany to the Vinton County Education School Foundation, 307 W. High St., McArthur, Ohio 45651.
