Burton W. Croley, 90, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at SMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born July 3, 1923 in Coxton, Kentucky, son of the late Clelly and Clydia Emery Croley. Burton was married to the late Fern Elkins Croley.
He retired from General Motors in Dayton and was a member of Truth Church in Hamden.
Burton is survived by a son, Gene (Shirley) Lawson of Hamden and sisters, Janice Jackson of Lucasville, Carol Anderson of Trotwood, Ohio, Betty Brunton of Dayton and Paula Tackett of Stockdale.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene, Charles and William Croley; sisters, Doris Scarberry and Eunice Webb and brothers-in-law, Link Scarberry and John Webb.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Monday, August 19, 2013 in Truth Church, 38050 SR 683, Hamden with Pastor Jim Eberts officiating. Interment will be in Hamden Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call at the Truth Church on Monday, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
