Geneva "Scrappy" Ilene Tatman

August 1, 1924 — August 23, 2013

Geneva Ilene “Scrappy” Tatman, 89, of South Bloomingville, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. She was born August 1, 1924 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Leoda Stringfellow Baker. Srappy was the widow of the late Byron Tatman.

She was a member of Walnut Grove Church and a former member of the Macedonia Church.

Scrappy is survived by her special niece and nephew, Joyce and Ray Farmer of South Bloomingville; nieces, Glenda Tatman of South Bloomingville and Linda (Ronnie) Unger of South Bloomingville and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Betts and Hazel McNichols.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Walnut Grove Church, Vinton County, with Rev. Danny Keller officiating. Interment will be in Wolf Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M.
