Melody Lynn Oliver

Melody Lynn Oliver, 59, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born December 4, 1953 in Nelsonville daughter of the late Robert Earl Hansel and Wilma JoAnne Smith Wicks. Melody was married to William Oliver, who survives.

She formerly worked for Smead in Logan and Hocking College in Nelsonville.

Melody is survived by her stepdaughter, Christina (Scott Coen) Oliver of Nelsonville; stepsons, William Trevis (Darcy) Oliver and Sherman Troy (Kari) Oliver, both of Nelsonville and seven step grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Wicks and stepfather, Lester Wicks.

Melody’s wishes were to be cremated. Graveside services in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Nelsonville, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
