Shirley A. Forester Mclaughlin

Shirley A. Forester McLaughlin, 75, of Logan, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at her residence. She was born May 12, 1938 in Perry County, daughter of the late Herman and Nellie Coakley Forester. Shirley was the widow of the late Kenneth “Sparky” McLaughlin Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Maurica Trader of New Straitsville; brothers, Frank Forester of The Plains, Bobby Joe Forester of New Straitsville and Lee Roy (Ellen) Forester of New Straitsville; sisters, Dolores Coakley of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Marlene Rutter of Logan; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Dylan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dannie Forester and sister, Nancy Starr.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Monte Hurst and Rev. James Mathias officiating. Interment will be in New Straitsville Cemetery, New Straitsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
