Mattie Bell Crews

Mattie Bell Crews, 75, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Maple Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McArthur. She was born November 11, 1937 in Lake City, Tennessee, daughter of the late Charles Lee and Rella Mae Massengill Johnson. Mattie was the widow of the late William T. Crews.

She is survived by her sister, Ann White of Lakeland, Florida; daughter, Crystal Shumaker and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie and Larry Johnson and sister, Bette Roe.

Mattie’s wishes were to be cremated. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Mattie Crews to Adena Cancer Center, 4439 State Route 159, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
